Stems are armed with strong, blunt and curved thorns, Leaves are unipinnate, leaflets are small often beset with galls, numerous, obovate-oblong and notched at the tip. Flowers are axillary and borne in dense cymes. Fruit is a 1-2-seeded flat pod.
